Group Ethics & Compliance Officer

What will you be doing as a Group Ethics & Compliance Officer?
You will work together with the Group Legal Department to develop, set up and implement the E&C policy for the Royal De Heus group worldwide. You will create alignment between the company policy and operational risk and controls. Building a practical and pragmatic E&C policy while leaving room for the cultural differences within the globally spread out markets the organization operates in. You will report to the Group Legal Director and be granted direct access to the Board of Directors and the Group’s senior management.
What do we ask from you as a Group Ethics & Compliance Officer?
We are looking for an entrepreneurial professional, with a track record of success in a similar role (preferably 8+ years experience), developing and implementing compliance programs in an international context. You have extensive knowledge of the legal framework that covers the E&C scope and experience specifically with risk monitoring and reporting, in addition to developing communication and learning programs.
Working closely with different stakeholders, you are determined to deliver high-quality work. Key to your success will be your ability to communicate effectively and build trust quickly with key stakeholders, in addition to a flexible and self-driven approach. You feel comfortable working independently in a global, multicultural environment in a proactive and autonomous manner. This role requires you to have a high level of personal integrity and reliability. Furthermore, you recognize yourself as being business oriented and ambitious.
Note that international travel may likely be required for this role.

- a senior and independent role as E&C professional. You will be able to see your contribution to the overall success of the development of the E&C policy and to enjoy having access to a high-profile board and senior management team;
- a truly international company, where E&C is strongly supported;
- project based for 9 months to maximum 1 year (depending on full or part time engagement), minimum availability 3 days per week (4 to 5 days is preferred);
- we offer you the option of a fixed-term contract, but are also open to discussing an interim or zzp type of arrangement.
